# Import Fees

## **I have to pay import fees, what gives?**

### Global store

Inside the EU, where applicable, taxes are paid during checkout.
Once a suitable destination has been selected via the cart, prices will update accordingly.

:::info
*The configurators occasionally have issues updating the price.*

*In case of mismatch, the cart’s pricing is the correct one.*

However, for Global store shipments **outside** of the EU, most import duties, Tariffs, and other taxes are currently **not** included at checkout.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, any such fees are to be handled by the recipient, directly via the courier.
Further details will depend on local regulations.

:::warning
*Of course, one should always double-check that the source is legit.*
*In case you aren’t certain, do not click on anything in the message or email, and instead manually go to the courier's website to check.*

*The tracking page generally also indicates whether import/related fees are pending.*

### US store

The US store originally shipped excl. VAT/import (Incoterm DAP - Delivery At Place).

DDP (Delivery Duty Paid) shipping went into effect on 17/06/2026.
The applicable rate and amount are now mentioned at checkout, separately from the shipping cost.
This import fee is calculated over the base product prices, prior to any discount codes.

Note that US store orders to Utah will also see a 7.25% Sales Tax:
This is due to our local US office.

If your order was placed *prior* to 17/06/2026, it may still have shipped via incoterm DAP.
